Ostuni Shopping - Shopping in Ostuni Italy.

Although it doesn't boast any big shopping centres, there is certainly a full range of retailers around the city of Ostuni. The main shopping or "high" street is the Via Pola, running east - west through the centre of town.  

Though if you stroll off any of the side streets you will find shops of all types and descriptions, from local grocers to small fashion outlets, computer stores and hardware shops, in fact everything that can be bought or sold.

The shops in Ostuni still close for the afternoon, even the bigger supermarkets, so shopping is limited to between 9.30am-1pm, then closed for lunch between 1pm and 5 or 6pm, remaining open until 9pm, during the week, then Saturday mornings only and closed all day Sunday.  Of course if it is a cold, wet and quiet day they may shut up early!.

Many things are comparable in price to the UK although electrical and computer goods do seem to be much more expensive. The ladies will be pleased to note that there is a huge selection of women's fashion, shoes and handbags all with that Italian flair readily available at good prices.
